I possess a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts. This empowers me to synthesize digital design principles with cultural arts practices effectively. As a practitioner deeply engaged in cultural arts—including beadwork, craftsmanship, and dance—I skillfully intertwine artistic expression with technical methodologies.
My expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, encompassing Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is bolstered by over twenty years of hands-on experience in machine fabrication. Additionally, I integrate Indigenous knowledge systems related to material culture into my work, enhancing my technical proficiency and fostering a comprehensive understanding of the cultural contexts that inform my artistic endeavors.
Currently, I am engaged in language preservation efforts as a curriculum writer. I focus on the intersection of botany, ecology, and science within educational programming. This includes conducting data entry for research initiatives, creating scientific illustrations, facilitating translations into the Dakota and Nakoda languages, and promoting cultural heritage and linguistic variation in academic settings.
